15 injured in bus accident

Rangia, Jan 3: At least 15 passengers were injured, two of them seriously, following a road accident at NH-31 near Puthimari under Rangia subdivision on Sunday. Most of the injured were admitted to Kamalpur  Model Hospital and  later shifted to GMCH. According to the police, a group of 40 passengers from Guwahati were going to Bagamati near Goreswar (under Baksa district)  for picnic in a bus ( No. AS 01 CC 1198) But the driver of the bus diverted the bus towards Rangia mistaking the route. On the way, the bus turned turtle on the tiol highway injuring at least 15 passengers.  The Kamalpur police with the help of local public rescued the injured passengers and admitted them to the hospital
