15 shops gutted

Tezpur, Aug 31: A devastating fire broke out on Thursday morning at Rakhasmari market area under Dhekiajuli PS in Sonitpur district. Altogether 15 shops were gutted in the devastating fire. Four fire-tenders were rushed to the spot soon after they received phone calls from the local people of Rakkhasmari. No report of casualty has been received as yet and cause of fire is yet to be ascertained. According to sources, properties worth lakhs of rupees have been damaged in the fire and it is suspected to be an intentiol attempt by some miscreants to cause fincial loss to the businessmen.
