15 year old pregnant girl rescued from committing suicide in Tezpur

Tezpur: A 15-year-old girl was rescued in Tezpur’s Forest Ghat from committing suicide on Wednesday evening.

The girl allegedly made an attempt to commit suicide by jumping into the mighty Brahmaputra River in the evening hours.

The girl alleged that she was impregnated by a notorious youth identified as Monsun who left her alone in a hospital and ran away by fooling her.

The girl who also claimed she to be an orphan hails from Jorhat. She has come all the way to Tezpur in search of her notorious lover boy who was residing as a tenant in Tezpur town. She further revealed that she is one month pregnant to his child.

It may also be mentioned that the boy earlier accompanied her to a hospital for a medical checkup and ran away from the hospital.

The one-month pregnant girl with no hopes later decided to commit suicide.

The girl after being rescued by the local people alleged before the media that her lover forcibly applied Vermilion (Sindoor) on her forehead and impregnated her thereafter.

Tezpur Sadar Police later took the custody of the victim girl.
