RANGIYA, April 17: A total of 16 shops were gutted at Balistra Daily Market Under Rangiya police station in Kamrup district here in on Wednesday. The fire that broke out at around 3.40 a.m. was put out within 30 minutes by fire tenders deployed from Rangia and Baihata Chairiali stations. However, no casualties were reported in the incident. The cause of the fire was not known. Fire brigade personnel, suspect that short circuits due to power fluctuations may have caused the fire.
