16-year-old student killed

MARGHERITA, Jan 1: Amidst the celebration of 31st Night, a 16-year-old boy was allegedly killed by three youths at 1 Number Makum Pather village in Margherita last night. The victim has been identified as Deepjyoti Gogoi, a student of class x, was a candidate of 2016 HSLC Examition. Locals alleged that Gogoi was brutally murdered by three youths—Mai Bokotial, Bhai Rajkhowa and Boga Mech of Margherita. Police registered a case at Margherita police station (No 1/16) under section 302, 34 of the IPC. Meanwhile, Mai Bokotial was arrested while other two accused Bhai Rajkhowa and Boga Mech are absconding till filling of this report.
