17-day pre-Army recruitment training underway

Itagar, April 10: Chongkham-based 20th Madras Regiment is imparting the pre-Army recruitment training at msai for the youth of Lohit and Anjaw districts. During the 17-day training, which began on Monday, the youth will be equipped with knowledge and physical training required for competing in the Army recruitment rally scheduled to be held at Jairampur in Changlang district from May 10-13. Altogether, 68 candidates enrolled for the training on the first day, and the number is likely to increase in the coming days. The 20th Madras Regiment’s Commanding Officer, Colonel Vikram Singh lawade and Tezu SDO Kajal Karmakar attended the iugural function in the IGG College auditorium, an official release stated on Tuesday.
