17 injured in road mishap

DEMOW, Feb 1: A road accident took place between a Traveller car and an oil tanker near Demow in harani, where around 17 passengers who were in the Traveller were seriously injured. According to sources, a Traveller car (AS 01 FC 6592) was carrying passengers from Dibrugarh and heading towards Jorhat, and an oil tanker (NL 02 N 9819) which was also coming from the same direction, hit the Traveller at high speed from behind due to which the Traveller skidded off the road and around 17 passengers were seriously injured. The injured passengers were immediately taken to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh for treatment.
