179851 voters to decide fate of three candidates in Baithalangso

DIPHU, Nov 18: Preparations for the Baithalangso LAC bypoll in West Karbi Anglong district have been completed. Elaborate security arrangement has been made in the polling booths of the constituency in view of the by-election.  There are three candidates in fray for this bye poll. Dr Mansing Rongpi who resigned from Congress party is contesting from BJP and Ruponsing Ronghang contesting as candidate of Congress and HSDC, a regiol political party and Rajen Timung contesting as an independent candidate.   About 179851 voters will cast their votes in 246 different polling stations of the district to elect their representative tomorrow.

There will be a straight fight between BJP and Congress and HSDC alliance party.

Dr Mansing Rongpi in the last election won this seat on Congress ticket and thereafter he resigned and joined BJP party as a result this  seat had fallen vacant.
