Addressing the gathering, Buragohain said that no progress could be made without education. He also said that the students who attained higher education should also engage themselves with social work. Among the 10, 450 students, 57 students were given PHD, 62 M. Phil, 683 MA, 211 M. Sc and 108 M. Com degrees and awards respectively. Also, 5,590 students, 1,489 students and 995 students received their Bachelor’s degree in arts, science and commerce stream respectively.
