MORIGAON, Nov 5: Altogether 18 members of the Tiwa Autonomous Council (TAC) have appealed to the CEM of TAC, Paban Manta, to dismiss the Deputy Chief Executive Member (DCEM) and four Executive Members (EMs) for allegedly showing irresponsibility towards the development works of the council.

They alleged that the works of DCEM Muhan Sepati and EMs Jugal Pator, Mantu Bordoloi, Binita Doimari and Bindawati Bordoloi Konwar had disappointed them and made the council unstable. The 18 members have appealed to the CEM of TAC, Paban Manta to hold a general meeting so that they can move a no-confidence motion against them. The members also said that the DCEM and EMs had even turned a deaf ear to the order of the Gauhati High Court.

The High Court had ordered the council to hold a general meeting on 8.7.2016 regarding incredulity, which they had tried to oppose by any means. Besides, the present council body had organized few meetings in order to discuss the development works of the council but the DCEM and four EMs were absent from those meetings.
