199th birth anniversary of Bahaullah observed

KOKRAJHAR, November 3: Along with other parts of the world, the 199th birth anniversary of Bahaullah, the founder of ‘Bahai Faith’, the universal body of all religions, was observed by Local Spiritual Assembly (LSA), Kokrajhar with a two-day colorful programmed on Tuesday and Wednesday at the premises of the assembly.

As part of the programme, there was prayer service, reading out of holy quotes, deliberation on Bahai Faith from LSA head and other guests, and presentation singing and dancing. The president of LSA, Gautam Chandra Brahma elaborated about the Bahai Faith which believes in oneness of God, oneness of faith and respects the human kind equally. He explained the programmes undertaken by the LSA for the children, moral class and good lessons to its believers.

The LSA was established in 1999 in Kokrajhar with a few believers. Later, the number increased with enlarging the jurisdiction that also controls Salakati areas. Nowadays, the Kokrajhar LSA has become stronger as more believers have come accepting the teaching of Bahaullah in their holy books that also provides Ruhi classes for the Bahais.
