2-day training on child rights concludes

Ampati, June 9: A two-day training on Child Protection & Child Rights organized by the South West Garo Hills district administration concluded here at Ampati on Friday with most of the participants expressing the need to have more awareness programmes in local languages at the village level to sensitize the people on the rights of the children and their protection from all forms of violence and abuse. The training was organized for MCS and MPS officers, police officers, government officials and pleaders, NGOs and women groups of the district which was also attended by officials of Education and Health departments, school principals as well as teachers, stated a press release.
