200 boys detained

Bengaluru, July 12: About 200 boys aged 8-13 years of age were detained at the Cantonment railway station for hours on Tuesday, fearing they were victims of human trafficking but let off after verifying their identities, said police. “On a tip-off by a fellow passenger, we asked all the boys and their 20 teachers to alight from the Guwahati Express at the Cantonment railway station and kept till evening to verify their status, where they were coming from and going to which place,” a Railway Police Force (RPF) official told reporters after initial inquiry into their status.
