2,000 held for impersotion during Bihar police exam

Pat, April 8: Around 2,000 men were arrested in Bihar for impersotion during the constable recruitment exam, police said on Wednesday. Officials said the number of arrests made in the last three weeks are the highest for one exam in the state so far. The men were held for impersoting candidates during checking of documents. Last year, the state government initiated the process for recruitment of 11,783 constables and written exams were held. Around 52,000 candidates were called for screening of documents at the Patliputra Sports Complex here. A prelimiry investigation found that the impersotors were hired by the aspirants for taking the physical test. All those arrested were presented in court and sent to jail, said And Prakash, an official of the police recruitment board. It was also found that 150 women were unfit for recruitment as they were pregnt, police said on Wednesday. (ians)
