Guwahati: The star player from Assam Riyan Parag is finally shining at the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL), with his quick fire 43, the 17-year-old all-rounder from Assam along with skipper Steve Smith thrashed the opponent Mumbai Indian by 5 wickets at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium (SMS) in Jaipur on Saturday evening.

Smith, was replaced by Ajinkya Rahane as the captain of the Royals ahead of the big-ticket clash.

Steve Smith had played the skipper's knock to perfection, hitting his second half-century of the season.

Rajasthan Royals comfortably chased down the 162-run target as they got past the finish line with five balls to spare.

Assam Boy Riyan Parag emerged as the unlikely hero for Rajasthan Royals as the Assam all-rounder took the Mumbai Indians bowlers to the cleaners unperturbed by the size of the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

It is to be noted that skipper Steve Smith and Riyas Parag added around 69 runs for the fourth wicket to help Rajasthan Royals successfully thrash their opponents Mumbai Indians at Jaipur today.

Riyan Parag was declared as the fbb Stylish Player of the Match.

Rajasthan Royals remains at the seventh spot with three wins from nine matches.
