22 NE candidates clear UPSC

New Delhi, June 1: As many as 22 candidates from Northeast including three girls from Aruchal Pradesh have cleared the Indian Civil Services (Mains) Examitions, 2016, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

Aruchal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu congratulated all three girls.

“Congrats to Aruchali girls - Mamu Hage, Chajat Lowang and Duyu Kampu for cracking UPSC civil service examitions. You made us all proud,” Khandu said in a twitter message.

Mamu Hage (bagged 691 ranks), Chajat Lowang (857) and Duyu Kampu (1081).

Four candidates from Manipur have also cleared the UPSC exam. They are Sanjenbam Sadanda (616), Kshetrimayum Ravikumar (769), Esther Laltankim Serto (1075) and Yow Peter Raiphea (1080). Suchismita Kanungoe from Tripura has secured 261 rank in the examition, while Tarit Kanti Chakma secured 730 rank. Henuka Rai from Gangtok, Sikkim have cleared the exam. She is a PhD scholar and has studied from Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi.
