22 students expelled for cheating in HSLC and AHM examinations

Hailakandi: 22 candidates have been expelled in the ongoing HSLC and AHM examinations in Hailakandi district on Monday. Disclosing this, Inspector of Schools, Rajiv Kumar Jha said of the 22 students expelled for adopting unfair means during the Social Science exam, 12 are from NT Model High School, 3 from Government VM HS School, 2 each from Nimaichandpur and Sanarei Mitei HS Schools, 1 each from Public HS School and Hailakandi Town High Madrassa and 1 from Chalmars HS School. In today’s exam altogether 6,853 appeared with 112 absentees and 22 expulsions in 11 examination centres across the district. In the HS exam on Monday, 15 students were expelled viz., 5 each from Algapur Public HS School, Government VM HS School and Women’s College.
