23rd Bn SSB organizes village-level development meeting

UDALGURI, Feb 23:  The 23rd battalion of SSB organized a village-level development meeting at Bengali Basti L P School, Phulbari. The meeting was presided over by H. Jiten Singh, the Commandant of 23rd battalion of SSB, Lalpool.

The meeting was attended by Rafel Tudu, chairman VCDC Jaberitola, Pur Bahadur Chhetry, VCDC chairman, Udalguri, Ram Bahadur Tamang, the Gaonburah of Kalajhar, Mangal Singh, president of Paharpur village, Binod Gurung, social worker of Phulbari, and others. H. Jiten Singh discussed about the health, sanitation and deforestation problems of the locality. The SSB has adopted schemes to develop the educatiol scerio in the bordering villages.

During the meeting, under the Community Development Programme, Bipani L P School, Kalajhar L P School and Bangalibasti L P School were provided five desks and benches, two blackboards and four charts each. Under the civic action programme, Kunderbil Daoharu Club and Phulbari Marshal Club were provided sports items and Mangal Daimari, Uday Bahadur, Dinesh Bhuyahar, Phulmati Karmakar, Bharati Karmakar and Deepak gbansi were given one blanket each.
