23rd foundation day of Goalpara Xahitya Xabha

Goalpara, August 27: The Goalpara Xahitya Xabha observed its 23rd foundation day in a befitting manner at its office at Bapujigar area recently.

Programmes like hoisting of Axam Xahitya Xabha flag, smriti tarpan and Antaranga Alap were arranged. President District Xahitya Xabha, Phani Das hoisted the flag.

An open session was also the part of the programme which was iugurated by noted former academician, Ramakanta Baruah where Delowar Hussain, appointed speaker, delivered his lecture.  Debojit Borah and Anga th, both from Axam Xahitya Xabha, were invited guests.

In the same programme , Bey Krish Ghosh, former MLA and lifetime  Axam Xahitya Xabha member, released the souvenir. Anchored by Sozimuddin Ahmed, present district secretary, Girindra rayan Das, former Goalpara Xahitya Xabha president,  was also felicitated with gamocha and sarai.
