SIVASAGAR, May 9: By 2019, all consumers will be provided uninterrupted 24-hour power supply, State Power (independent charge) Minister Tapan Gogoi said. While addressing a party meeting of Sivasagar Yuva Dal recently, Gogoi said that the consumers would be able to enjoy 24-hour power supply by next year despite many constraints as the government had resolved to overcome the obstacles at any cost. The State government is committed to transform the dreams of the people into reality by ensuring 24-hour power supply in a phased manner. The meeting, convened by Dr Prabin Konwar and presided over by Bhaben Mohan, was attended, among others, by Kushal Duwori, MLA of Thowra LAC and others. Several organizations felicitated the minister on his maiden visit to Upper Assam’s historic temple town.
