24 organizations to stage mass demonstration

HOWRAGHAT, April 13: A conglomeration of 24 organizations representing both East and West Karbi Anglong autonomous districts, will stage a mass demonstration on April 24 at Diphu demanding deletion of illegal non-tribal voters from the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council voter’s list and making of a new voter’s list by the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council under provision  mentioned in paragraph 2 sub-para 7 of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution of India, revocation of Assam Land and Revenue Regulation Act, 1886, and re-establishment of Karbi customary law.
