24 suspects arrested for Istanbul airport attack

Ankara, July 1: Turkish anti-terrorism police have arrested 24 suspects, all alleged members of the Islamic State, in connection with Tuesday’s attack on Istanbul airport, media reported on Friday. The detainees include 15 foreigners, one of them a Russian citizen, Efe news said citing local media reports.
The Tuesday attack, carried out by three suicide bombers, killed 44 people and injured nearly 240 people. Turkish Interior Minister Efkan Ala reiterated on Thursday that the main suspect in the bombing remains IS. (IANS)
