27 Assam Rifles celebrates I-Day in school

Silchar, August 21: 27 Assam Rifles celebrated the joyous occasion of 69th Independence Day of the country in a befitting manner with the students and teachers of the Labac Garden L P School, 25 km from here. According to a delayed report received here, company commander of 27 Assam Rifles hoisted the tri-colour in presence of children, teachers, parents and guardians as well as officials of the frontier force. Sweets and chocolates were distributed among the children on the occasion.

The parents and guardians along with the members of the magement committee of the school located in the midst of lush green tea leaves in the background of Dewan Tea Estate shared the eventful moment created by the school in coordition with Assam Rifles. The teachers and students in particular expressed their happiness to be a part of the ID celebration in a different mode and temper. It was no doubt a colourful celebration and all of them expressed their hope that in the coming years also, Assam Rifles would become a part of their joyful historic event.
