27th Jorhat Tennis Meet Concludes

JORHAT: The 27th Jorhat Open, a Major State Ranking Tournament of the All Assam Tennis Association, concluded at Jorhat yesterday. Around 250 participants from different parts of the state took part in the championship.

The final results: Boys U-12 singles: A

ntariksh Tamuly (Glt) beat Pritam Baruah (Ghy) 6-4,6-3. Boys U-14 singles: Tushar Paul (Glt) beat Harshad Bora (Ghy) 6-1,3-6,6-3. Boys U-18 singles: Shahir Farhaz (Jrt) beat Jeet Dutta (Jrt) 7-5, 6-0. Girls U-14 singles: Tanishqa Patar (Ghy) beat Namrata Das (Ghy) 6-2, 6-2. Girls U-18 Singles: Debangana Barkataky (JHT) beat Tanishqa Patar (Ghy) 6-2, 6-7(2), 6-1. Mens singles: Amlanjyoti Baruah (Ghy) beat Tutu Thapa (Ghy),7-6(3), 6-2. Boys Under 14 doubles. Aman Buragohain (Sib) / Harshad Bora (GHY) bt Aryan Bora (Glt)/ Adriraj Bhuyan (Glt) 6-1, 6-3. Mens Doubles. Bedabrat Mohan (Sib)/ Manas Pratim Kuli (Sib) bt. Amlanjyoti Baruah (GHY)/ Aman Deo (Ghy) 6-4, 6-4.
