27th Road Safety Week iugurated in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT, January 11: The District Transport Office of Golaghat organized the 27th Road Safety Week with a week-long programme starting from Monday and it was iugurated by DTO ndeshwar Lahkar and Dinesh Gogoi by flaging off the awareness rally of two and four wheelers . A public meeting was organized in the public bus stand today and the theme of 2016 was displayed through banners and posters in public places. The meeting was presided over by Golaghat DTO ndeshwar Lahkar and among others Ghanshyam Barohi, chairman Municipality, former Professor Dinesh Gogoi, Pur Rajkhowa, Dip Kalita , MVI Debojit Dutta and Mantu Das and Enforcement Officer Gajendra Adhyapak were felicitated. The meeting condoled the demise of brave cop Vinod Phangsu, who was the Officer-in-Charge of Barpathar Police Station. In the rally dealers of two and four wheelers also took part.
