GOLAGHAT: At least 2,816 polling officials have left for their respective destinations on Tuesday as voting for the Panchayat election in Golaghat subdivision will be held on Wednesday. The district administration is fully prepared to conduct polling.
In Golaghat subdivision, polling will be held at 632 polling stations from 7 am to 4 pm. Of the 632 polling stations, 166 are declared sensitive voting centres. About 3,86,841 voters will decide the fate of 742 candidates of gaon panchayat and ZPC representatives from various parties. The State government has declared public holiday and dry day on December 5 to ensure smooth conduct of voting.
