28th Road Safety Week observed

Tamulpur, Jan 12: The 28th Road Safety Week was observed at Tamulpur Ghograchowk on Thursday, which was organized by Baksa district transport office.

A meeting was held at Tamulpur Ghograchowk on the road which was presided over by Kishan Kumar Sarma, Sub-Divisiol Officer of Tamulpur subdivision. District Transport Officer Sadanda Gogoi addressed the public meeting and explained the significance of observing the road safety day. He also give oath to the driers and riders not to drink and drive, to wear helmets at the time of driving two-wheelers and not to use mobile phone at the time of driving.

SDO (civil) Kishan Kr. Sarma also appealed to people to be conscious and to save their own life and the lives of others also by obeying traffic rules. After the meeting a bike rally and auto rickshaw rally was flagged off by the SDO (Civil) in presence of the District Transport Officer Sadanda Gogoi.
