GUWAHATI, Oct 21: The second day’s play between Assam and Vidarbha today washed out without a single ball being bowled. Vidarbha, elected to bat, scored 254/3 in their first innings at stumps on day I yesterday.

Meanwhile two nice spells from Joginder Sarma (5-32) and H Patel (4-40) helped Harya to come back strongly in the Ranji trophy game against Chhattisgarh here today. However Chhattisgarh maged to earn slender 11 runs lead in the first innings. Chasing Harya’s first innings total 178, Chhattisgarh today finished their first innings 189. S Gupta (78) was the top scorer for Chhattisgarh. Harya finished the day 121/3 in their second innings.
