3.7 lakh saplings planted under Mission Green Tinsukia

TINSUKIA, May 11: Under Mission Green Tinsukia, as many as 3.7 lakh tree saplings were planted on Tuesday in Tinsukia town and 47 other different locations across the district. The ambitious project launched by the district administration was accomplished with participation of several organizations including Army, police, 2nd APBN, NHAI, paramilitary forces, educatiol institutions, NGOs, IMA, besides large number of people. The plantation programme was also undertaken in the newly-constructed Tinsukia bypass and on either side of NH 37, 38, and 153, stated a DIPR press release.
