3 AANLA cadres apprehended in Udalguri

DIMAKUCHI/TANGLA, June 23: Army of 14 Dogra Regiment under Red Horns Division &166 Infantry Battalion (TA) (H&H) Assam apprehended three All Adivasi tiol Liberation Army (AANLA) cadres at obandha village in Udalguri district on Thursday. Army personnel with Assam police  ambushed an ultra group when three suspected cadre tried to flee, but were caught hold of. The apprehended AANLA cadres were John Xalxo, son of Carlos Xalxo; Amruss  Orang, son of Ranjit Orang and Leius Orang, son of Late Benedict Orang. All the three youths were the residents of village Deochunga under Goreswar police station in Baksa district. Several arms and ammunition, including one .22 mm pistol with magazine, three rounds of ammunition; one 7.65 mm pistol with magazine and three rounds of ammunition; one 9 mm pistol with magazine and three rounds of ammunition; one shot gun etc were recovered from their possession.
