3 kidppers bbed, hostage rescued

Itagar, May 10: A team of capital police under the supervision of SP D Mishra, rescued a person from the clutches of kidppers and arrested three persons involved.The team led by DSP Techi Hanyir, OC T Bage, SIs P Baruah, K Pertin and S Hodong rescued one Ahung Wangsa from the captivity of kidppers and arrested three kidppers mely Togo Rebe (24) Kishore Tamang (23) and Duyu Bumer (23) from C Sector here yesterday, a communiqué informed. On intensive interrogation, Rebe disclosed that he is a drug peddler and had concealed 3 packets of brown sugar in his Bolero vehicle and as such, he was produced before the Court of Executive Magistrate ICC and after his statement was recorded Rebe led the police himself where 3 suspected pouches of brown sugar weighting 8.6 grams along with the vehicle were seized.Interestingly, Rebe is a self-styled president of All Aruchal Pradesh Anti-Drug Youth Organisation (AAPADYO).DGP S Nithiandam appreciating the commendable job of the police team has assured suitable reward to the team for the excellent work.
