3 killed as severe storm lashes Assam

GUWAHATI, Feb 23: A thunderstorm in Upper Assam claimed three lives, besides damaging over 10 homes on Wednesday. The storm was accompanied by heavy rains with wind speed of about 70 km per hour. Most parts of the state plunged into darkness with power supply badly hit as trees fell on high tension wires and electric poles were uprooted.
