3 killed in separate road mishaps

Tezpur, Nov 5: In a tragic road mishap which took place on Saturday night around 9 pm at NH 15 (A) Haleshwar area under Salonibari Police Station in Sonitpur district, one person died on the spot and another sustained serious injuries.  Sources said that two persons, identified as Indrajit Kaushik (22) and Pranjal Sarma (21), residents of Tezpur Polofield and students of Darrang College, were coming towards Tezpur on a new bike and unfortutely at Haleshwar area they collided with an oil tanker. Pranjal Sarmah died on the spot and Indrajit Kaushik is now in the ICU at GMCH after sustaining serious injuries. Besides, two persons were also killed on the spot in another road accident that took place at Bihaguri Pithakhowa under Tezpur Police Station in Sonitpur district.
