GUWAHATI, Sept 19: 3 Star clubs, Nepal made a solid start in the 64th Bordoloi Trophy soccer tourment thrashing Barak FC (Flamingo), galand by 6-1 at the Nehru stadium here today. The winner were leading by 3-1 in the first half.
Martins scored twice while Niranjan Khadka, Buddha Chemjong, Sunil Bal and Bikram Lama scored one goal each for the winning side. Eteiba reduced one for Barak.
The match was completely one sided affair and 3 Star domited from the very beginning. They needed just four minutes to take the lead through Martins. The side increased the margin in the 21 minutes and it was Martin again who scored the goal. Niranjan made it 3-0 in the 39th minutes. However, against the run of the play Barak returned one in the 43rd minutes through Eteiba to make the score line 3-1 just before the lemon break.
Budha Chemjong (51minutes), Sunil Bal (73minutes) and Bikram Lama (80) pumped in three more goals in the second half which helped 3 Star to register biggest victory of this edition of the meet.
