32 IPS officer trainees undergo basic training with CRPF

GUWAHATI, Dec 3: A group of 32 IPS officer trainees from tiol Police Academy, Hyderabad were attached with the North Eastern Sector, CRPF. This is part of their basic training to acquire first-hand knowledge about the ethos, culture and working atmosphere of the largest paramilitary force of the country, the CRPF.

They were briefed about the history, functioning and role of CRPF in interl security duties and counter-insurgency operations in the north-eastern region by Md. Jawed Akhthar, Additiol OG, NE Zone and Prakash D, IG, CRPF, North Eastern Sector.

 Subsequently, the batch of officer trainees was sub-divided into smaller groups and sent to individual BNs and Coys in Assam and Meghalaya. The de-briefing session was held at Group Centre, CRPF, Guwahati in which the IPS officer trainees expressed their gratitude to the CRPF for granting them such a useful exposure. This was stated in a press release.
