32nd annual conference of IAP from November 17

Silchar, Nov 13: Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), Barak Valley Branch, Silchar is all set to organize 3-day 32nd annual conference of Assam state branch of IAP ‘ASPEDICON 2017’ from November 17 to November 19. It is for the third time that the prestigious conference will be organized in Silchar. Established in the year 2004 with just a handful of persons, the branch now boasts of 30 members, expert in their respective fields. The main purpose behind organizing the conference is to create awareness among the masses about pediatrics, health condition of mothers, children, babies, both mature and pre mature.

 This information was shared by the members of Assam PEDICON at a press-meet held at Shiv Sundari risikha Ashram (SSNS), Park road, Silchar on Sunday. Child specialist Dr Chandra Shekhar Das, organizing chairperson of PEDICON said, “It will be an exchange of ideas, emotions, feelings and knowledge about administrative loopholes. We will also discuss how to tackle emergency cases. The Association needs a platform to carry out such noble activities. This year our branch at the IAP All India competition was declared joint winners with Guwahati. We also organize monthly scientific meeting so that all can remain updated. Medical knowledge is growing fast.”
