3,600 saplings planted at Umpyai

SHILLONG, July 11: In an effort to preserve and protect the environment residents of Pamrakmai, East Jaintia Hills district, have planted 3,600 tree sampling. People from all age groups participated in the plantation programme led by Lukas Shylla, Headman of Pamrakmai and Wesing Dkhar, Secretary. The 3600 sampling availed through the Basin Development, Khliehriat were planted at Umpyai- a forest area of Pamrakmai.
