37 Assam Rifles distributes solar lamps

Silchar, April 24: Around 100 solar lamps were distributed at Sanbari village under Lakhipur sub division by 37 Assam Rifles on Tuesday. The village is connected only by waterways on Barak river as there is no road or jungle route. There is no electricity connection in the village. They reached the village through a boat and distributed the solar lamps among both Bengali and Hmar households. The efforts of 37 Assam Rifles were appreciated by the villagers in general and the beneficiaries in particular.
