3rd annual conference of Tai Ahom youth body held

GAURISAGAR, March 1: The third annual conference of Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad, Asom Phulpanichiga Regiol Committee and Phuralung function was held at Mumaitamulu Barbaruah Kshetra, Phulpanichiga   recently with a two-day long programme.

The first day programme started with hoisting of flag followed by maidam  tarpan and plantation sapling. Thereafter a series of competitions were held among the school students. In the evening, subject selection meeting and Phuralung function was held.

On the concluding day, the programme started with banphee puja. In the evening an open session was held under the chairperson of Premodhar Neog, social worker and former Headmaster, Phulpanichiga ME School. The meeting was iugurated by Diganta Tamuli, president of Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad, Asom, Sivasagar District Committee.

Addressing the gathering as an appointed speaker, Dr. Manjit Gogoi, Principal of Jhanji Hem th Sarmah College, elaborated the meaning of Tai Ahom  and the significance of Ahom administration. The other dignitaries present were Hemanta Changmai, working president , Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad, Asom, central committee, Suruj Gogoi, secretary, Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad, Asom, Sivasagar District Committee, publicity secretary Simangsu Gogoi, Rupali Borkatoky, Headmistress, Phulpanichiga ME School, Rajib Dutta, jourlist, and Devajit Duarah, working president, Brihattar Asomiya Yuva Mancha, Sivasagar Zila Samiti.
