4 accidents, 6 injuries

Shillong, Feb 7: Three people were injured in an accident  Tuesday night around 11.10 pm in Mawkriah, East Khasi Hills when one truck (ML05 H 5379) heading towards Shillong was hit by another truck (NL01 K 1866) rushing from the opposite direction. The drivers of both the two vehicles were severely injured while one handyman sustained minor injuries. The injured were identified as Dromsing Kharja, Kumjuhhi Lamare and Apmon Shadap. They were shifted  to Shillong Civil Hospital. In another case, one Dip Singh, 32  was severely injured after the bike he was riding was hit by a running truck coming from behind. This incident happened in Mookhep, East Jaintia Hills district around 12.10 am when Dip, along with a pillion rider, was on his way to Lumshnong. No injury was reported. Dip was immediately rushed to Jowai Civil Hospital. In Mawiaban, West Khasi Hills, one coal-laden truck  heading towards Nongstoin from Maweit went off the road and hit the road barrier. The incident took place Wednesday morning around 8 am. One helper of the truck, identified as Trowell Syngkli, 30, sustained injury  and was shifted to Nongstoin Civil Hospital. In yet another case, one Pynkupbor Lapang, 32, sustained injuries when the bike he was riding on skid and fell. The incident occurred on Wednesday  around 2.20 pm in Sadew, East Khasi Hills when Pynkupbor  was on his way to Nongpoh from Mawngap. He was shifted to Pomlum PHC.
