4 State players in tiol badminton fil

GUWAHATI, Dec 5: Assam shuttlers displayed a splendid performance and made it totally one sided affair in the Sub Junior tiol Badminton Championship at Teli, Andhra Pradesh today. Four state players entered into the title clash defeating their respective opponents in singles and doubles category respectively. In the boys U-13 singles semi fils Tanmoy Bikash Baruah defeated Lokesh Reddy of Telenge by 21-10, 21-9 to book a berth in the fil. He will fight against another Assam boy Anurag Talukdar in the fil. Anurag in the other singles beat Ayush Shetty of Kartaka by 23-21, 21-16. Tanmoy and Anurag also entered into the boys doubles fil where they will face Assam pair Animesh Gogoi and Tehzeeb Rahul Taufique. Meanwhile in the girls section Ankita Gogoi and Ridhima Thapa from Assam finished as runners up in the girls doubles.
