40 PMAY houses iugurated in Digboi

DIGBOI, Oct 30: Pushing hard to execute, implement and accomplish various socio-economic schemes of the government meant for the common people and other segments of the society, a host of dignitaries, including Rameswar Teli, the MP of Dibrugarh, Suren Phukon, the MLA of Digboi and the Tinsukia Deputy Commissioner on Monday jointly iugurated 40 houses under PMAY sanctioned for the year 2016-17 here at different locations under Tingrai Gaon Panchayat of Hapjan Block under Digboi LAC in Tinsukia district. The beneficiaries belonging to Tingrai Assomiya Gaon,Tingari Bongaon and Bogapani Colony, all under Tingrai gaon panchayat, expressed a sense of satisfaction at availing the benefits of the said schemes, besides appreciating  the pace of development activities and distribution of benefits in and around Digboi.
Meanwhile, an awareness talk was also conducted later near Radha Govind Mandir at Tingrai wherein various speakers like Rameswar Teli, Suren Phukon, Lakhindan Gogoi, the CEO Tinsukia, Tikendrajit Morang, the BDO Hapjan Block, and DFO Bipul Bora underlined the significance of government schemes offered to realize the socio-economic goals seeking equilibrium, thus minimizing the gaps between the haves and haves not. The speakers also threw ample light on the ways and means to avail the benefits, besides enriching the common people on various other related schemes of the government and their utility. However, the most unique part of the collective iugural drive was the sapling plantation carried out simultaneously in the campus of the new houses by Bipul Bora, the Divisiol Forest officer, Digboi.
