Bongaigaon: The 42nd biennial convention of North East India Haridev Sangha will be held in Dolaigaon of Bongaigaon district from March 8 with a three-day long programme. In this regard the foundation pillar had been laid by Phani Bhusan Choudhury, MLA of Bongaigaon and president of the reception committee.
Talking to mediapersons, Phani Bhusan Choudhury said that the programme on March 8 would start with usha kirtan which would be followed by flag hoisting by the president of reception committee.
“This will be followed by several programmes like Bishnu Puja by Nil Kumar Sarma, tree plantation, inauguration of book fair and exhibition by Ajit Kumar Das, president of Bongaigaon Xahitya Xabha and art competition conducted by Ajay Ray.
In the evening after the lighting of the lamp by Dinesh Ch Choudhury, the delegate camp will be inaugurated. The main event of the second day will be the Dhrma Sabha which will be inaugurated by Dhiren Sarma, Professor of Abhayapuri College, and conducted by Tarun Ch Sarma, former Principal of Bihpuriya PGT College. On the last day the open meeting will be held,” he said.
