42nd foundation day of Coal India celebrated

MARGHERITA, November 1: The 42nd foundation day of Coal India was celebrated on Tuesday with full enthusiasm by North Eastern Coal Fields, Margherita.

The programme began with assembly of NEC employees in front of the General Mager’s office. After that unfurling of Coal India Flag was done by J K Borah, General Mager of NEC Margherita, which was followed by CIL corporate song.

J K Borah paid homage at the martyrs’ memorial and commemorated by lightning lamps in front of the martyrs’ memorial for those who laid down their lives for better cause of CIL.A minute silence was observed for the peace of the departed souls.

J K Borah, General Mager of CIL NEC Margherita addressed the gathering. After that 10 best employees of NEC were felicitated along with toppers of Class X and Class XII of Margherita subdivision. An art competition and art learning programme was also held among school children where a team of JJ School of Arts from Mumbai and Guwahati took part.
