43rd annual conference of Ekasaran Bhagawati Samaj begins today

UDALGURI, Feb 9: The 43rd annual conference and State-level mahapalm of Ekasaran Bhagawati Samaj will begin from Friday at Jila Palm Than, Batabari.

The four-day long mahapalm session will begin with the Prata Prasanga to be conducted by Khagen Rabha, the Ata of Jila Palm Than Botabari, followed by hoisting of religious flag. A reception committee to host the mahapalm was formed with Damodar Das as president, Jayanta Kumar Rabha as working president and Jatin Rabha as general secretary.

Devotees from Bongaigaon, Bijni, Guwahati, Kamrup, gaon, Morigaon, Jorhat, Majuli, Sivasagar, Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur, Sonitpur, Biswath Chariali and other districts are expected to arrive tomorrow. The open session to be held on February 12 is expected to be attended by Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal, besides other dignitaries.
