43rd Bongaigaon Refinery Day observed

BONGAIGAON, Feb 22: Bongaigaon Refinery celebrated the 43rd Refinery Day on Monday, with great zeal and enthusiasm. The celebration began with flag hoisting by LW Khongwir, Executive Director in the presence of GM (TS & HSE) RK Sharma and other dignitaries, a press release stated.

Addressing a huge gathering of employees on the occasion, Khongwir congratulated the refinery workforce for their individual roles in the growth of the refinery. Sharing the physical and fincial performance of the Refinery, he also urged everyone to focus on continuous improvement in performance, innovation, value addition, cost consciousness, reliability of plant & equipment and environment protection. Khongwir also emphasized on leveraging creative talent and technology to competitive advantage keeping ‘Safety First’ notion as the guiding force behind the actions. Encouraging the employees to reinforce their bonding amongst themselves as well as with the business partners including stakeholders, Khongwir urged everyone to demonstrate and practice the Core Values of Indian Oil in every aspect of their work life. The Day was further commemorated by a Cultural Evening organized for refinery employees and their families at RCCC in BGR Township. Various programmes including dance and song performances by employees, talented children of Delhi Public School and BGR HS School as well as invited artists made the entire celebration lively and memorable.
