46th Session of Indian Labour Conference to begin on July 20

NEW DELHI, July 18: The 46th Session of Indian Labour Conference is scheduled to be held on July 20 and 21, in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi under the Chairmanship of the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Labour & Employment, stated a press release on Saturday.

The conference will be iugurated by Prime Minister rendra Modi and will also launch the tiol Career Service (NCS) Portal and ESIC 2.0-the reforms Initiatives of ESIC, during the Iugural Session on July 20.

The Indian Labour Conference is the tripartite consultative body at tiol level and by now had organized 45 Sessions. The 45th Session was held in May, 2013 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. This year the conference will deliberate upon the issues like implementation of the conclusions/ recommendations of the 43rd, 44th and 45th Indian Labour Conference, particularly on Contract Labour, Minimum Wages and Scheme Workers and Tripartite Mechanism, Social Security for workers  in Organized Sector, Unorganized Sector and Intertiol Migrant workers etc.
