47th conference of Udalguri Bodo Sahitya Sabha held

KALAIGAON, January 11: Udalguri Bodo Sahitya Sabha held its 47th conference along with Udalguri Bodo Harimo Afad with a two-day long programme in the premise of Mahiranga Bhavan at Khairabari from January 10. The 45th conference of Khairabari Bodo Sahitya Sabha also observed on the same day.

The first day started with iuguration of the main gate. After that lamp lighting, literary competition and homage-paying ceremony were held. The second day of the conference started with flag hoisting by Nikkanta Gayari, president of Udalguri Bodo Sahitya Sabha. Folk dance and cultural dance were also performed by several communities. On the occasion an open meeting was held which was iugurated by Bhajen Bodo, former president of Bodo Sahitya Sabha. Meanwhile, Nresan Bodo, Deputy Speaker of BTC and Lumchrau Daimary, Executive Member of BTC took part in this meeting as guests of honour.
