48th foundation day of Duliajan College observed

DULIAJAN, August  2 : The 48th foundation day of Duliajan College was observed in the college premises on Monday. Before starting the main programme,  the college flag was hoisted by Principal of Duliajan College, Dr.Surendra th Gogoi and smirti tarpan was done by Dr Likhon Chandra Borah, Vice-Principal of Duliajan College. This year the 9th remembrance lecture was devoted in memory of Indra Prasad Buragohain, former Head of Mathematics Department, Duliajan College. A meeting was held. The aim of the meeting was elaborated by Topoti Bhattacharya, Associate Professor of English department, Duliajan College. In the programme, as a chief guest, Dr Domborudhar th, Professor of Sri Sri Anniruddha Chair, Dibrugarh University and Purkanta Hazarika, founder Principal of Duliajan College, were present. In the meeting, many retired professors and senior citizens were felicitated. Besides this, Duliajan College and family members of Indra Prasad Gohain  felicitated Joyshree th Pandey, who was declared Best Graduate of Duliajan College in 2016.
