4th Assam climbers scales Everest within 24 hours

GUWAHATI, May 20: Assam got another Everest climber and that too within a span of 24 hours. This time ba Phukan, who hails from Sivasagar and arranged the expedition individually, climbed the World’s highest peak this morning. Earlier Henry David, Kharsing Teron and nda Dulal Das scaled the peak yesterday. The trio is the part of the Assam Mountaineering Association’s Everest expedition team. It may be mentioned here that last year also Assam Mountaineering Association, which is  giving sincere effort to produce successful Everest climber for the last couple of years, had sent an expedition team to Everest but unfortutely that time the team was forced to return after Nepal was rocked by a devastating earthquake. With this four, the number of Assam climbers, who scaled Everest, is increased to six. Earlier Tarun Saikia and Manish Deka  also climber Everest in 2013.
